A perfect day in nature awaits on Lake Skadar, the largest lake on the Balkans that touches the borders of Albania and Montenegro. Driving up here along a wiggling road that travels through forested mountains is just one of the many photo ops on this journey. Hop on a boat and cruise along River Crnojevića, munching on Montenegrin fritters, cheese and honey. Skadar wetlands are home to over 280 species of birds – be on the lookout for the curly pelican, the park's trademark.
